Student at UGA School of Law

HOW WERE YOU AFFILIATED WITH WGS?

I minored in Women's Studies.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CURRENT WORK (PAID OR UNPAID!)

I'm currently a law student at the University of Georgia School of Law. I am interested in working in the Family Law realm and I also work for UGA Law's First Amendment Clinic.

HOW HAS YOUR WOMEN'S AND GENDER STUDIES EXPERIENCE SHAPED YOUR LIFE AND WORK POST-GRADUATION?

It completely shaped my perspective on how I see the world and how I see the law. I learned about so many diverse perspectives and attitudes in my studies for my minor, and I also learned a lot about American history. This knowledge has been super helpful in law school and has informed my opinions on what I think the law should look like.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE MEMORIES FROM YOUR TIME IN WOMEN'S AND GENDER STUDIES AT UGA? COURSES, PROFESSORS, EVENTS?

Any class with Dr. Hovland! And I loved my class with Dr. Putcha! I've never felt more respected by an educator than I was in my WMST courses.
