Officer, Curriculum Systems, University of Georgia Office of the Registrar How were you affiliated with WGS? Women's and Gender Studies Minor Tell us about your current work (paid or unpaid!) I currently work on the Curriculum Systems team in the Office of the Registrar at UGA! I assist with the curriculum development and faculty governance processes here at the University, as well as pitching in with other curriculum-related policies and processes as needed. How has your Women's and Gender Studies experience shaped your life and work post-graduation? My studies with the Women's and Gender Studies department at UGA gave me the vocabulary, theoretical and practical knowledge, and critical thinking abilities to protect and advocate for myself and other marginalized individuals in life and in the workplace. What are your favorite memories from your time in Women's and Gender Studies at UGA? Courses, professors, events? I really enjoyed all of the classes I took and the instructors I worked with. I remember being super engaged with the materials and discussion in my LGBT Studies and Gender and Pop Culture classes, both of which were taught by Dr. Josie Leimbach. I also have fond memories of working with fellow Women's and Gender Studies students in my Critical Feminist Readings class. Any advice for current Women's and Gender Studies students (graduate or undergraduate)? Persevere!
