Assistant Professor Xin Xin served as the Director and Lead Organizer for Processing Community Day (PCD), taking place in Los Angeles and 100+ participating cities in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia throughout the months of January and February 2019.

PCD @ LA is an inclusive event that brought together nearly 300 people of all ages to celebrate and explore art, code, and activism. The day-long event featured four themed-tracks — Accessibility, Disability, and Care, Radical Pedagogy, Under the Silicon, the Beach!, and Epic Play!. Each themed track contained lightning talks and sessions presented by conference guests invited through an open call. Xin had published Imagining a We, a medium article that reflects on their experience as the lead organizer of the event. A video recap and recorded lightning talks from PCD @ LA are available at Processing Foundation's YouTube Channel.
