Dr. Marie-Claude (Maric) Boudreau is a Professor of MIS at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. She held the position of MIS Department Head from 2012 to 2024. She received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University, a Diplôme d’Enseignement Supérieur Spécialisé from l’École Supérieure des Affaires de Grenoble (France), and an M.B.A. from l’Université Laval in Québec (Canada). Her research focuses on how information technologies and information systems (IT/S) can bring about organizational change.  She has explored how IT/S drives organizational change, the consequences of IT/S implementation, and the interaction between human agency and technology in organizational settings. Additionally, she has explored the role of IT/S in promoting environmental sustainability, often referred to as Green IS or Energy Informatics. Within that stream of work, she has engaged in many interdisciplinary collaborations and secured numerous grants.
