"Weaving the Stories of Women's Lives: A Panel Discussion on Women's Narratives"

Women's History Month

This year's national Women's History Month theme is "Weaving the Stories of Women's Lives".  To keep the focus on this theme, as part of our month-long calendar of events, this panel discussion will include UGA faculty whose research focuses on narratives and/or women’s experiences. 

Featured panelists include Dr. Valerie Boyd, director of UGA’s Master of Fine Arts degree in Narrative Writing, Dr. Valerie Babb, Professor of English and Director of the Institute for African American Studies, Dr. Danielle Dickens, lecturer in Psychology, and Dr. Vicki Michaelis, the Carmical Distinguished Professor in Sports Journalism. 

The panel will be moderated by Institute for Women’s Studies director, Dr. Juanita Johnson-Bailey and will take place on Wednesday, March 18 at 1:30 p.m. in the Miller Learning Center, room 350. The panel discussion is free and open to the public.
