JHsiao-wen Cheng bookoin the Institute for Women’s Studies and Dr. Hsiao-wen Cheng, Associate Professor of Chinese history and religion at the University of Pennsylvania, for a presentation and discussion of her new book:

Divine, Demonic, and Disordered: Women without Men in Song Dynasty China.

Dr. Cheng’s research focuses on issues related to gender and sexuality, medicine and healing culture, and notions of norm and normalcy.
