Friday, 18 October - The Institute for Women's and Gender Studies hosted its biennial Women and Girls in Georgia (WAGG) conference at the Miller Learning Center on Friday.

13 September, 2024 - Dr. Carolyn Medine was honored with the 2024 Women's Studies Faculty Award. This award is presented each year to a faculty member whose scholarship, mentoring, and leadership has notably enriched the academic culture at UGA and beyond. Dr.

The Institute for Women's Studies showed up in full color at the first annual Certificate Fair on August 28. The Grand Hall at the Tate Student Center was filled with tables for the 50+ certificate programs offered at UGA.

March 13, 2024 - Athens and UGA communities came out in full force for a visit by Dr. Kate Manne to celebrate the publication of her third book, Unshrinking: How to Face Fatphobia.

Black trans activist and UGA alumna Raquel Willis came back to Athens this week to share insights from her new memoir, The Risk it Takes to Bloom: On Life and Liberation.
